Fruit farming in the Hautes-Alpes region dates back several centuries. In the 1930s its prominence really started to take off with the appellation « Pommes et Poires des Alpes » ( apples and pears of the Alpes).

Nowadays the apples of the Hautes-Alpes are internationally known for their crispness and their sweet and fruity taste.

« Having worked as an arboriculturalist for 30 years, we have acquired a know-how and knowledge about fruit trees that have given us the desire to make the whole world know the apples of the Hautes-Alpes and its terroir.

Our aim was to become one of the key leaders of the Hautes-Alpes in production and trade of apples within 20 years. We reached our goal. In 2009, Golden Valley was ranked in the top 30 most successful companies of the Hautes-Alpes (covering all categories). »
